With foreword by Ben Trickey
Cream River is a short collection of Interconnected Vignettes by Douglas W. Milliken, accompanied by a set of four songs, by the author, under his Blind Pelican moniker. This book is a glimpse into the comings and goings of people into and out of our lives and how (often poorly) we deal with that. Milliken's voice is raw and self-deprecating, while exposing an honest and uninhibited disposition. His characters drag their feet across the pages and their cities, drinking through conversations equal parts meaningful and delusional.
